Our design process is deeply personal. We believe that each bride deserves an experience as unique as her special day. From the moment we begin working together, we ensure that your vision for your wedding dress is brought to life. Through one-on-one meetings, we take the time to understand exactly how you envision your gown. We then provide custom samples for your approval, and once you’re completely satisfied, our skilled team sets to work creating your perfect bridal wear. Typically, the journey from concept to delivery takes between one to two months, ensuring we meet every detail with care.
This is Safia Sathi, a couturier, costume stylist, and proud entrepreneur.
My journey in the world of fashion and design spans over seven years, during which I have had the privilege of working on an array of projects, from crafting bespoke bridal wear to creating once-in-a-lifetime wedding decorations. What started as a hobby in 2012 gradually evolved into a passion that led me to pursue design full-time. By 2015, Happy Events by Safiya Sathi was born, and since then, we have steadily grown into a creative team of over 20 dedicated professionals. Together, we strive every day to turn your dreams into reality, with meticulous attention to every detail.
To me, art is not just about creating beautiful things—it’s about solving problems creatively. Unlike mathematics, where there is always one correct answer, art offers endless possibilities and solutions. This belief has guided my journey since childhood, fostering an unwavering passion for design.
As I grew older, I developed a dream not only to become a successful entrepreneur but also to empower those around me. I have always felt there was a gap in the market, particularly in Bangladesh, where the demand for high-quality, locally designed wedding attire far outstripped what was available. While there are a few boutique designers offering quality products, many local customers still turn to imported garments from places like India and Pakistan for their special occasions.
This realization was the catalyst that led me to establish Safiya Sathi as a designer of wedding attire in 2017. My goal was simple: to create a brand that fulfills the growing demand for luxurious, locally crafted wedding wear that adheres to global standards. In a country rich with resources, we have the potential to build designer houses that rival international fashion standards.
Throughout the years, I’ve designed over 100 wedding dresses for brides across the country, ranging from intricate bridal lehengas to sophisticated reception gowns. This hands-on experience, combined with my market research, has given me invaluable insight into the exact needs of our customers. I’ve come to understand that Bangladesh has a burgeoning market for high-end, local wedding attire, and it’s time to move beyond bespoke services and enter mass production.
Looking ahead, we aim to reach customers nationwide and expand internationally, with plans to introduce my designs to the UK market as well. By blending global trends with local resources, we can elevate the wedding industry and create fashion that is both accessible and of the highest quality.
I am deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and I’m excited for the future of Safiya Sathi. I remain committed to bringing unique, thoughtfully designed wedding attire to every bride and empowering my team and the wider community through my work.
